We're looking for a Commercial Policy Manager for our public sector client on an initial 12-month contract, paying up to £515 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35). This is a hybrid role across any UK site with occasional travel to London.
This role sits at the heart of a construction and infrastructure delivery environment, leading the development of policy, guidance and forums that drive continuous improvement across a complex stakeholder landscape. You will coordinate inputs from across the organisation and its supply chain, shape coherent policy and standards, and design and run the forums and working groups that bring suppliers and internal teams together to solve delivery challenges.
This is an autonomous, outcome-focused role and will suit someone who can drive a policy development pipeline, facilitate purposeful discussions at senior level, and translate complex issues into clear, practical guidance.
You will need proven experience in the following:
* Leading or supporting continuous improvement, change, policy development or business improvement in a complex organisation
* Working within a government or public sector context, with a clear understanding of policy cycles, governance and assurance
* Working knowledge of construction, infrastructure or project-based delivery environments, including NEC contracts
* Coordinating multiple stakeholder inputs to shape policy, guidance or standards
* Designing and running forums, working groups or communities of practice
* Managing a policy development pipeline end to end, from issue identification through drafting, approval and dissemination
* Translating complex issues into clear, practical guidance for teams and suppliers
