The Enterprise Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and advancing the maturity of risk management practices across the Bank. This role focuses on embedding effective risk management processes, ensuring consistent application of governance standards, and supporting the Bank’s strategic risk objectives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving the maturity of the Bank’s risk management framework and ensuring that strong governance practices are embedded across the organisation. Your main responsibilities will include:
 * Supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of core enterprise risk processes, including risk policy management, risk appetite, and risk taxonomy.
 * Acting as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME) in enterprise risk management — providing guidance, challenge, and assurance on the effective application of the ERMF.
 * Contributing to the design and delivery of the Bank’s risk data and management information (MI) strategy, ensuring accurate, insightful, and timely reporting.
 * Setting and maintaining clear standards for aggregating and escalating risk matters to senior governance forums, including the ERC, BRC, and Board.
 * Producing, analyzing, and continuously improving risk MI and reporting for senior stakeholders.
 * Researching and applying industry best practices to enhance the ERMF and strengthen the Bank’s overall risk maturity.
 * Managing the Bank Risk Policy repository, leading the annual review cycle, and coordinating related communications.
 * Owning the quarterly Risk Culture Dashboard, ensuring consistent and insightful reporting.
 * Acting as Secretary to the Top Risk Working Group, ensuring the Bank’s principal risks are effectively captured and communicated.
 * Tracking and reporting on policy exceptions and risk acceptance requests, ensuring robust documentation and oversight.
 * Supporting the SMF attestation process for the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
Key Requirements
 * Proven experience in enterprise risk management within financial services or a regulated environment.
 * Retail Banking Experience is required
 * Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, with the ability to interpret and work with large datasets.
 * Sound understanding of corporate governance principles and risk frameworks.
 * Familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) systems.
 * Excellent organisational, decision-making, and written communication skills.
 * Attention to detail with a proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving
 * Prior experience leading enterprise-wide risk initiatives or framework enhancements.
 * Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
 * Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
