Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Build Strategy
Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Salary: Competitive
Responsibilities:
* Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Projects, Supply Chain and Engineering to resolve issues arising during Design.
* Applying problem-solving tools and techniques during the design phases from PFMEA to design for manufacture.
* Capturing lessons from build activities and integrating them into strategy to prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
* Essential: Minimum HNC or equivalent experience in a STEM discipline.
* Good understanding of engineering drawings and CAD models.
* Experience using problem-solving tools like Lean Six Sigma.
* Desirable: Experience engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve engineering/planning issues.
* Familiarity with SAP / Teamcenter.
* Understanding of submarine build strategy.

The SSNA Manufacturing Team: As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, working in the Build Strategy team, you will be joining the SSNA programme but will need to collate learning from experience from Dreadnought & Astute when needed.
