Job Description:
We are looking for someone with a demonstrable background in mechanical engineering to join an established global engineering company.
Based at the company's facility in Andover, the Engineering Technician & Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for managing their own time and ensuring all aspects of the role are carried out efficiently.
You will need to have a recognised engineering/technical qualification and solid computer skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Repair, service, and assemble rotating unions
* Oversee workshop activities
* Identify and repair rotating unions under warranty
* Unpack and stock goods
* Enter incoming shipments into the company software system
* Manage shipping and purchasing of goods using the company software system
* Use a forklift truck to unload and load shipments
* Stock control
* Basic building and machine maintenance
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrable background in mechanical engineering
* Experience working within a similar industry
* Hold a recognised engineering/technical qualification
* Experience in logistics
* Ability to operate lathe and milling machines
* Experience operating a forklift truck
* A team player who is keen to use their own initiative
* Willing to undertake additional training
