 
        
        Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The availability windows for working shifts are listed below. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you will have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be.
 * Sun: 05:30 – 22:00
 * Sat: 05:30 – 22:00

From helping customers to making sure store operations stay on track, being a Shift Leader at Tesco is a truly rewarding role. You’ll face lots of interesting challenges as you oversee the store from the shop floor and strive to make things just that little bit better for customers, colleagues and communities, every day.
As a Shift Leader you’ll:
 * Work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
 * Take ownership of running duty shifts and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
 * Listen to customers and ensure they leave the store with what they came for.
 * Coach colleagues and give feedback to improve service.
 * Guide and support colleagues in‑store, keeping the store safe and shop‑friendly.
 * Maintain store performance understanding and assist managers in improving operations.
 * Lead from the front and set a great example for your colleagues.
