About the Role:
Job Type: Flexible, supply/temporary
Location: Across Newcastle (including Walker, Byker, Gosforth, West End, and surrounding areas)
Settings: Primary and Secondary Schools
Hours: Term-time shifts available (full-time or part-time)
Start Date: Immediate and ongoing
Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher
* Assisting with individual and group learning activities
* Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Supporting children with additional needs (SEN) where required
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Following school safeguarding procedures and behaviour policies
Requirements:
* Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
* A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential
* Confidence in supporting learning across a range of year groups
* A flexible, professional, and proactive approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
