Our client is currently seeking a highly organised and motivated Transport Admin Assistant to join their busy logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to contribute to the smooth running of transport and distribution operations. You will work closely alongside the Warehouse Manager, gaining a hands-on understanding of warehouse operations by spending time on the floor, scheduling warehouse staff, and acting as the key point of communication between the warehouse, clients, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Using and navigating a variety of customer booking portals
Communicating with customers via phone and email to arrange transport bookings
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of bookings, transport requests, arrivals, and departures
Creating and printing necessary paperwork and labels for shipments
Communicating any schedule changes, urgent requests, or issues to relevant internal and external stakeholders
Supporting the coordination and balance of daily outbound transport schedules
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency within transport planning
Building strong working relationships with both customers and colleagues
Providing general administrative support to the wider teamKey Requirements
Proven experience in a customer-facing transport, logistics, or order planning role
Experience working within a fast-paced office environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive “can-do” attitude
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
