Overview
UNSW is recruiting a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Clinical Education, Nutrition & Dietetics (EF) within the School of Health Sciences, Discipline of Nutrition & Dietetics.
The role is responsible for the development and implementation of the School’s nutrition and dietetics clinical placement programmes and will collaborate with placement teams across all disciplines to enhance the School’s clinical education capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development and delivery of nutrition and dietetics clinical placement programmes.
* Collaborate with placement teams across nutrition, dietetics and related health disciplines.
* Contribute to the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the School’s clinical education capabilities.
* Support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives within placement programmes.
Qualifications – Level B
* Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) or willingness to seek APD accreditation.
* Evidence of experience in industry and work‑integrated learning.
* Demonstrated commitment to proactive maintenance of discipline knowledge and development.
* Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery of courses and programmes at undergraduate or postgraduate level, particularly related to clinical education and WIL.
* Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications – Level C
* Significant experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery of courses and programmes at undergraduate or postgraduate level, specifically in clinical education/WIL.
* PhD in Nutrition & Dietetics or other related health disciplines, or a minimum of post‑graduate qualifications relevant to the position.
* Evidence of professional development in teaching and a strong track record of teaching excellence.
* Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.
* Demonstrated track record in research (scholarship of learning and teaching) with high quality impact to improve education and or health outcomes.
* Teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.
