Job Purpose:
You will oversee and carry out the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of all materials within our busy stores division.
This role is suited to someone with experience running or managing a stores operation, who demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate stock control and ensuring smooth workflow throughout the goods-in and goods-out process.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage the receipt, inspection, booking-in, and accurate recording (in Simpro) of all incoming goods
Organise and store materials correctly, ensuring clear labelling and appropriate stock rotation
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised stores environment
Pick, pack, label, and prepare outgoing goods for timely and accurate dispatch
Ensure the returns process is followed promptly and correctly
Complete regular cycle counts and maintain accurate stock control
Liaise with procurement as required
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance stock control, storage layout, and overall process efficiencyProfessional Qualifications / Skills / Work Experience:
Proven experience managing stores or warehouse operations, covering both goods-in and goods-out processes
Strong knowledge of inventory control and materials management
Excellent organisational and communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the stores function
Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment
