About the role and candidate

As a key team member, you will focus on unlocking long-term sustainable value for major real estate funds from our UK office. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a deep understanding of the UK real estate market. The ideal candidate will leverage this insight to identify new business opportunities and engage potential clients. You should enjoy building external relationships, possess a strong drive to grow the business, and excel at generating new opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Achieve sales and business development targets
* Build and nurture a portfolio of new clients, fostering relationships that lead to sales
* Proactively prospect for new clients via phone, email, LinkedIn Sales Navigator
* Prepare proposals and presentations for tenders and RFPs
* Manage client interactions and respond to follow-up inquiries
* Conduct in-depth meetings with prospects
* Collaborate with the legal team on contracts to secure signed agreements
* Work closely with the international and local BD teams
* Develop strong relationships with clients to generate new sales
* Maintain a work-in-progress overview, including new leads
* Represent Longevity Partners at public and private events and conferences
* Provide new instructions to the team, facilitate resourcing, and oversee delivery to ensure client satisfaction
Essential Skills and Competencies
* Minimum 3 years of relevant sales or business development experience
* Experience with sales targets and meeting client deadlines
* Strong network within UK professional circles and ability to build and maximize relationships
* Proven ability to convert leads into contracts
* Knowledge of climate change and the built environment
* Understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency services and their impact on property investment
* Excellent communication skills and professional manners
