Job Description
We seek a self-motivated Finance Assistant to join our team based in Piccadilly Circus. The successful candidate will assist the Finance Manager with the department's day-to-day operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
* Bank accounts and credit card reconciliation (GBP and USD).
* Verify in-store and online customer payments against bank records, update Salesforce, and liaise with client managers for queries as necessary.
* Physical verification of cash taken in-store and bank at the local branch.
* Run aged debtor reports and ensure all cash is allocated to invoices in Quickbooks.
* Ensure gift card receipts are reconciled to Salesforce every month.
* Raise ad-hoc invoices as necessary.
Accounts Payable
* Running and analysing the aged creditor report weekly.
* Posting revaluation journal for non-GBP creditors monthly.
* Provide cover during AP Specialist’s absence periods, including;
* Process invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
* Obtain and reconcile supplier statements regularly.
* Prepare weekly BACS and International payment runs.
* Monitor shared email addresses for supplier queries, statements, etc.
* Respond to supplier and internal queries in a timely fashion.
Management Accounts
* Posting and maintaining prepayment and accrual schedules monthly.
* Posting and maintaining fixed asset schedules monthly.
* Ensuring all reconciliations are done on time.
Skills & Experience:
* AAT Qualified or an ACCA/CIMA student – mid-way through qualification with exams sat and passed.
* Previous experience in accounting or finance role is essential.
* Proficiency in Excel and Quickbooks is an advantage.
* Knowledge of Google Workspace and Salesforce is desired.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Experience and a good understanding of luxury retail would be an advantage.
* Team player and happy to work in a close-knit team environment.
