About the Role
Staffline Recruitment Ireland is recruiting for a Waste Contracts & Data Officer to join a local government body based in Downpatrick.
Working within the Environment section, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the procurement and management of waste and related contracts, validating income and expenditure reports, and managing waste data for internal service requirements and external reporting obligations.
This role would suit a highly organised candidate with experience in contract procurement, KPI monitoring, data management and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
2. Support the procurement and ongoing management of waste and related contracts
* Prepare tender documentation as part of the contract procurement process
* Monitor contract performance, including KPIs
* Validate and process income and expenditure reports
* Manage, analyse and report waste data and information
* Prepare internal reports to support service requirements
* Support external reporting in line with statutory and other obligations
* Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyse data
* Work individually and as part of a team within the Environment section
* Ensure work is completed accurately and in line with relevant procedures
Essential Criteria
Applicants must have:
3. A minimum Level 6 qualification, or equivalent, such as a university degree in a relevant discipline, including Procurement, Contracts Management, Waste Management or Business Management
AND
4. At least 1 year of experience in all of the following areas:
* Contract procurement, including preparing tender documentation
* Ongoing contract management, including monitoring KPIs
* Validating and processing income and expenditure reports
* Data management, analysis and reporting
OR
5. In lieu of the qualification above, at least 3 years' experience in all of the following areas:
* Contract procurement, including preparing tender documentation
* Ongoing contract management, including monitoring KPIs
* Validating and processing income and expenditure reports
* Data management, analysis and reporting
Applicants must also have:
6. Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel
* A full current driving licence and access to transport, or access to transport to meet the requirements of the role
* Ability to work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and public or bank holidays when required
