Faststream have been selected to partner with one of the world’s most successful shipping services provider. With offices worldwide and a strong team based in the UK, they are seeking to appoint an experienced business developer to expand the dry/agricultural shipping portfolio.

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our Client’s presence in the agricultural shipping sector. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong partnerships, and driving growth across the agricultural market. Your expertise in market analysis and relationship management will be key to driving success.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the agricultural shipping sector.
* Identify new market opportunities and lead efforts to expand the company’s client base within the agriculture industry.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet customer needs and align with market demands.
* Lead contract negotiations and manage all phases of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
* Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs to drive the company’s growth in the agriculture sector.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the agricultural shipping sector.
* Strong understanding of the agricultural shipping market, including key players, trends, and challenges.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
* Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
