A well-established transport organisation based in Hull is seeking an experienced Temporary Management Accountant to provide hands-on financial support during a period of increased activity and operational focus.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring timely, accurate management information and supporting operational decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
2. Budgeting and forecasting support, including cost tracking and performance reporting
3. Business partnering with operational and depot management to understand performance drivers
4. Accruals, prepayments, and month-end journals
5. KPI reporting with clearmentary and rmendations
6. Support year-end and audit processes as required
7. Process improvement and ad‑hoc financial analysis
About You
8. Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or QBE with strong management accounting experience
9. Previous experience in transport, logistics, or operationally focused environments desirable
10. Confidentmunicator, able to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
11. Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems advantageous
12. Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, operational business
