Portfolio Payroll are currently working with an organisation in the Middlesbrough Area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Assistant. They are looking for someone who has strong experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar with a good understanding of legislation and process.
This is a busy payroll department with a high volume payroll across multiple business entities.
Key Objectives
To process all monthly payroll information including starters, leavers, amendments
Salary sacrifice schemes and payments and deductions
Process,monitor and check the accuracy of the monthly payroll ensuring that any errors are rectified efficiently
Post the monthly payroll to the accounting ledger and perform a reconciliation of the actual monthly payroll
SMP, SSP, OMP
End of Year Certificate process
LGPS return
Queries relating to pensions auto enrolment administration
BACSEssential Requirements
Experience In Payroll administration
Manipulation of data - excel
Excellent communicator as you will be answering queries
Organised and strong attention to detail
Up to date legislation knowledge
Deliver payroll, pensions and benefits
