We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team in Carterton. In this role, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft, ensuring compliance with regulatory airworthiness standards and company quality requirements. Working closely with Certifying Engineers and the Shift Manager, you will play a key part in delivering operational service excellence to meet customer contractual obligations.

What you'll be doing
* Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks, including component replacements, structural and wiring repairs, as directed by certifying staff.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with approved documentation.
* Maintain control of materials, tools, and equipment, and ensure a clean working environment.
* Use company GCIS Maintenance IT systems where applicable.
* Uphold company values and policies, fostering a positive and open reporting culture.
* Support Certifying Staff in achieving objectives within required timescales.
* Respond to short-notice AOG recoveries when required.
* Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Manager.
What you'll bring
* Completed Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent Mechanical/Electrical qualification.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Base Maintenance.
* Strong understanding of team-based, zonal working structures.
* Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results under time constraints.
* Experience with AOG recovery operations.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
