SEN Teaching Assistants - Basingstoke Academics are recruiting on behalf of a new SEN school in Basingstoke. They are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants to join them ASAP. This would be on an on-going, possible temp to perm contract. Ideally, they are seeking Teaching Assistants available ASAP but would also consider people who are available from April. SEN Teaching Assistants - Basingstoke The school caters for learners from Year 1 to Year 11 whose needs cannot be met within a mainstream environment. All students will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in relation to their Social, Communication Needs (SCN) associated with a diagnosis of Autism. It is a new, purpose built two-storey school with specialist classrooms and extensive external grounds. They are looking to grow to offer spaces for up to 128 full time pupils with personalised academic and therapeutic programmes to help them progress in life. You will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
