Job Description:
Dual Registered Manager, Two 2-Bed Residential Children’s Homes
Location: Swinton, Manchester (M27)
Here’s one for an experienced Registered Manager who’s ready to lead not just one but two Good-rated homes, both small, settled and just five minutes apart. One’s full with two young people already placed. The other has one young person in, and space for another. Both are EBD homes with strong therapeutic teams already in place.
This role offer s a step into wider leadership, with support to move into a Service Manager position within two years. You’ll be trusted to lead the homes your way, with the backing of senior leaders who genuinely understand residential care and what it takes to run a safe, stable, therapeutic home.
The setup is clear: consistent staff, thoughtful leadership, proper investment in training and a structure that puts staff wellbeing right up there with young people’s outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading both homes and managing the full care model across sites
* Supporting your teams to maintain high standards, clear boundaries and a strong relational approach
* Driving quality, compliance and consistency without micromanaging
* Working closely with professionals and families to ensure joined-up support
* Overseeing safeguarding, inspection readiness, and service development
* Shaping future growth while keeping both homes grounded and steady
What you’ll need:
* Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Manager in EBD residential childcare
* Confident in leading teams, managing risk and delivering quality outcomes
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
* Calm presence, and a leadership style people trust
* Full UK manual driving licence
