The Role – HV Electrical Project Engineer As an HV Electrical Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of high voltage electrical projects across the power and renewables sector. You will be involved from early design and tender stages through to construction, commissioning, and energisation. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in ensuring technical excellence, programme delivery, and compliance with industry standards across HV and MV installations. Key Responsibilities • Support the delivery of HV and MV electrical projects from design through to commissioning • Prepare and review electrical design drawings including HV and LV systems • Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and project teams on technical matters • Assist with procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to site • Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation • Manage RFIs and liaise with stakeholders to resolve design queries • Carry out inspections, snagging, and quality control checks • Assist in the preparation of test packs and commissioning documentation • Support project planning including schedules, material take offs, and programmes • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards • Contribute to cable sizing, containment design, and lighting calculations • Support the integration of control systems and energy management systems About You • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline • Minimum 2 years experience in electrical project engineering within industrial or power projects • Strong understanding of HV and MV electrical systems and network requirements • Experience working on transmission, distribution, or renewables projects is desirable • Knowledge of electrical design standards and regulations • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project • Strong organisational and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within project deadlines • Detail focused with strong analytical and problem solving ability • Commercial awareness and ability to engage with stakeholders What’s on Offer Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 DOE Benefits: • Bonus • Pension • Healthcare • Travel opportunities across the UK and Europe • Continuous professional development • Clear progression within the power and renewables sector • Opportunity to work on high voltage infrastructure projects up to 400kV Why Apply?
