Assistant Farm Manager Required - Broilers

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Farm Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the smooth and efficient running of the Broiler farm, contributing by developing the requisite skills in line with the Pilgrims Europe competency framework.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Farm Manager with daily farm operations and accurate record keeping for all matters related to birds, food, and supplies.
* Ensure adequate supply of all essential stock and place orders as necessary.
* Implement practices that reduce negative environmental impact (e.g., waste reduction, recycling).
* Manage, motivate, and train Farm Assistants in all areas of farm operation.
* Communicate with the Farm Manager regarding crop performance and maintain professionalism and appearance of the farm and dwellings.
* Act as deputy for the Farm Manager in their absence, covering all aspects of farm management, including managing radio pager alarms and emergency call-outs.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Farm Manager, with a primary focus on animal welfare.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a poultry farm environment.
* Level 2/3 Poultry Passport Qualification.
* Prepared to undertake NVQs.
* Flexibility, reliability, self‑motivation, and proactivity.
* Good communication skills and sound decision‑making ability.
* Computer literacy.
Shift Pattern and Working Hours
This role follows a 5 of 7 shift pattern, with a sixth day as required by the needs of the business, covering 48 hours a week.
