The role
As Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for helping drive business growth and profitability by developing industry and company insights for prospective and existing clients. Working closely with the Business Development Director, Head on Onboarding & Insights and Head of Customer Success, you will proactively seek out trends and analytics, within the Eebz target industry sectors and prospects, to enable more tailored and personalised proposals.
You will develop an extensive knowledge of the Eebz platform and processes, coupled with an in-depth understanding of our clients, including their needs, challenges and future requirements.The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner. Proactiveness, resilience and excellent communication skills are also paramount to the success of this role.
As a critical member of a small but growing commercial team, you will be driven to achieve our company goals and should have a deep understanding of e-commerce/ retail and/or the gaming/ consumer electronics industries and possess strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify sources to collect, analyse and interpret data to generate target industry sector insights, such as size, structure, key players and industry dynamics.
* Deep dive on target prospects to include company size & structure, their key competitors, product range/ launches and understanding/ usage of digital retail/ shelf analytics.
* Spot trends and identify insights from the Eebz platform that can be used to prospect new clients as well as retain existing clients.
* Work cross-functionally with the sales, marketing and product teams
* Build and maintain a competitor database of other DSA providers
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business Studies/ Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
* Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, or Tableau.
* Ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
* Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Be pro-active, resilient and meticulous
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in an analytics role ideally within retail/ e-commerce, gaming, consumer electronics/ home appliances
* Familiarity with the digital shelf analytics industry is a plus
Reporting to: Business Development Director
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (09:00–17:00) includes min 4 days (Mon, Tues, Weds & Thurs) in the office.
