Role Description
We have a great opportunity here for a hands-on, organised, and safety-focused Yard Supervisor to join our team at Beaconsfield. You will oversee operations and ensure the smooth running of our yard and warehouse. If you're an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows how to manage stock efficiently, and prioritises great service, we'd love to hear from you
Responsibilities:
* Leading and coordinating the yard team.
* Ensuring all deliveries are unloaded, stored, and dispatched efficiently and safely.
* Managing stock accuracy and organisation within the yard and warehouse.
* Enforcing high standards of Health & Safety, ensuring PPE is worn and regulations are followed.
* Keeping the yard and warehouse tidy, organised, and operating at peak efficiency.
* Monitoring forklift maintenance and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
* Supporting customer service by ensuring orders are fulfilled quickly and correctly.
* Opening and closing the warehouse securely and maintaining site safety.
Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays
Holiday: 21 days per year plus Bank Holidays
Salary: £35,000 per annum

Requirements
* At least 2 years in a similar role, ideally within a builders' merchant.
* A valid counterbalance forklift license (minimum 2 years' experience).
* Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-moving environment.
* Strong stock management and warehouse processes knowledge.
* Understanding of manual handling, forklift safety, and site regulations.
* Hands-on experience with warehouse systems and stock management.
* Clear, professional, and able to engage with customers and colleagues alike.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
