We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative Vice Principal for Curriculum, Teaching and Learning to be part of our highly motivated Leadership Team at our vibrant and forward thinking academy. The role of Vice Principal is a strategic leadership role where the VP leads on a significant aspect of the academy, with others, to ensure it impacts positively on student achievement and other outcomes, the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom, the quality of provision matched to need and the necessary support for students to achieve. Under the direction of the Principal, you will work on developing and delivering the aims of the Academy Development Plan, particularly relating to Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. You will ensure the Quality of Education provision across the Academy is highly effective including oversight of teaching and learning practice and CPD programmes, ensuring a broad and balanced curriculum is in place across all subject areas. The post holder will drive our agenda to secure the best possible personal and academic experience for our students.


Responsibilities

* Lead on Curriculum, Teaching and Learning as part of the Academy Leadership Team, developing and delivering aims of the Academy Development Plan.
* Ensure the Quality of Education provision across the Academy is highly effective, including oversight of teaching and learning practice and CPD programmes.
* Ensure a broad and balanced curriculum is in place across all subject areas.
* Drive improvements to secure the best possible personal and academic experience for students.


Qualifications and Qualities

* Has excellent leadership and management skills, and the energy and drive to inspire and motivate others
* Is an ambitious and innovative teacher, dedicated to the success of students, with a track record of raising attainment
* Has demonstrable leadership and management experience at Senior Leadership Team level
* Is an energetic and confident leader who is able to build strong relationships with students, parents and staff
* Has excellent organisational and time management skills
* Is a strong team player
* Has exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
