Advanced Clinical Practitioner – Orthopaedic – Elective focus, Band 8a (Fixed‑Term: 9‑12 months maternity leave cover). Location: Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Fulham Road, London.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with senior medical team to independently assess, diagnose and treat elective orthopaedic patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Appropriately refer patients to relevant specialties for investigations and facilitate safe discharge.
* Provide clinical advice and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
* Coordinate a multi‑professional seamless service and deliver expert, independent care.
* Develop and support audit and research projects; participate in updating and implementing departmental policies, protocols and guidelines.
* Maintain professional competence with protected time, annual appraisal/PDR, and ongoing supervision of nursing and medical staff.
* Drive operational development, initiate and manage change, innovate practice for patient care in line with trust and local programs.
