Rate of Pay: £13.42- £17.5 per hour
Summary:
The Administrative Officer will provide efficient, high-quality, and effective administrative and business support to the Integrated Localities Social Care Team within the Isle of Wight Council. This critical role ensures the smooth, daily operation of the team by managing vital information, coordinating activities, maintaining data integrity, and acting as a central point of contact for service users, care providers, and associated professionals.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure data integrity through regular data cleansing activities, including the accurate processing of case closures and status updates to maintain current and compliant caseload records.
* Act as a professional point of direct contact for service users, their families, external care providers, NHS partners, and other associated professionals.
* Handle sensitive and confidential information in line with Data Protection and Council policies, exercising discretion and professionalism at all times.
* Coordinate and facilitate meetings, which includes preparing agendas, circulating documents, arranging venues, and taking accurate minutes for formal records.
* Facilitate and process all incoming and outgoing team information efficiently, managing telephone calls, correspondence (letters, emails), and internal communications.
Essentials:
* A minimum of GCSE grade C/Level 4 or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
* A recognised qualification or demonstrable working knowledge in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
* Proven experience working in a demanding administrative, secretarial, or support role, preferably within a social care, health, or public sector environment.
* Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong experience in working with complex electronic database systems (e.g., case management systems).
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines independently
