Southend-on-Sea City Council is looking for a skilled and motivated Traffic Regulation Order Officer to join our dynamic Traffic Management and Parking team. This is a full-time, permanent role with the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement, providing a great work-life balance. In this key position, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of traffic management, highway, and parking schemes by offering expert technical knowledge and ensuring compliance with national legislation and local governance practices regarding the production of legal traffic regulation orders. Your work will help optimise road closures, ensure a compliant TRO process, and keep stakeholders informed. You will ensure all traffic orders are processed effectively, in line with the Council's governance procedures, and advise senior managers on any risks, issues, or solutions as they arise. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure roadworks and traffic management schemes are delivered to the highest standards, with a focus on safety and compliance.
