Job Introduction
We are seeking a caring and compassionate Social Worker and/or Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our Community Mental Health Team. In this role, you will work with individuals who have complex mental health needs and face significant challenges in their daily lives. Many experience unstable living situations, such as homelessness, severe substance misuse, and difficulty engaging with services. Our clients may also struggle with daily living skills and be at high risk of self-neglect, have a history of involvement with the criminal justice system, or frequently require inpatient psychiatric services.
As an employee of the Local Authority, you will be required to undertake Care Act assessments, respond to Section 42 safeguarding concerns, and complete Section 117 aftercare plans in collaboration with health colleagues and other agencies.
We are actively recruiting both Social Workers and Approved Mental Health Professionals. Warranted AMHPs will receive a £5,000 annual supplement, reflecting an actual salary of £47,839 to £51,142, subject to warrant status, approval, and evidence of relevant training.
