Senior Planning Policy Officer needed in Atherstone Paying £19.32 per hr ref 5287212 Full time hours on a temporary basis Leading on the preparation of Local Plan documents, supplementary planning guidance, evidence‑base studies, and consultation exercises. Providing expert policy advice to colleagues, elected members, developers, and residents. Representing the Local Planning Authority at Public Inquiries, Hearings, and Examinations. Assessing and interpreting changes to planning legislation, national policy, and environmental/sustainability requirements. Supporting and contributing to corporate strategies relating to climate change, carbon reduction, heritage, and place‑making. Managing projects and coordinating external consultants, work programmes, and deadlines. Preparing reports, briefing notes, and committee papers. Working collaboratively across the organisation and with external partners to ensure integrated policy delivery.
