🔌 Electrical Design Engineer (Contract – Outside IR35)

We’re looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering consultancy on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact data centre and building services projects, working within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
💼 What You’ll Be Doing
* Conduct site surveys, testing, and reporting on existing installations
* Attend technical meetings with design teams and contractors
* Perform electrical calculations using Amtech, ProDesign, or similar tools
* Prepare technical drawings and tender specifications
* Mentor and support junior engineers and trainees
🧠What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience in electrical design across various building types
* Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
* Familiarity with British Standards and building regulations
* Excellent time management and attention to detail
* Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
🎓 Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical or Environmental Engineering
* HNC/ONC/BTEC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
This role is outside IR35 and based on-site in North London.
