A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced MIG Welder to join the existing team of a Manufacturer based at Lee Mill Industrial Estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating metal parts using MIG welding techniques. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to workplace Health and Safety. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate MIG welding equipment safely and effectively. Weld components in flat or vertical positions. Follow correct manual handling procedures to lift sheet metal as and when required. Read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols. Inspect welded parts to ensure specifications are met. Perform basic routine maintenance on MIG welding equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company Health and Safety procedures. Collaborate with all team members to meet production deadlines and adhere to quality standards. Essential Experience and Candidate Attributes Required: Recent, Demonstrated experience working as a MIG welder in a fast paced Manufacturing or Engineering environment. The ability to read and follow engineering drawings and SOPs. A commitment to following company Health and Safety procedures. Excellent manual dexterity coupled with experience following correct manual handling procedures to lift heavy sheet metal. A certificate in MIG Welding would be advantageous but is not essential. This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 05:45 to 14:15.
