About the Role:
Here at Teaching Personnel We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Walsall. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students with a love for cooking, nutrition and practical skills while helping them understand the importance of healthy living.
Role Responsbilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Teach a range of topics including food preparation, nutrition and health and safety in the kitchen
* Prepare students for GCSE exams through high-quality theory and practical lessons
* Maintain a safe and organised classroom environment ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
* Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support achievement
* Contribute to extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs and food-related competitions
* Work collaboratively with the Design and Technology department to share ideas and resources
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* A degree in Food Technology, Nutrition or a related subject
* Strong subject knowledge with a passion for food education
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* DBS on the update service or willingness to obtian one
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
* Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
