Overview
Deputy Dean of Graduate Research (Part-time) – Level C, D or E appointment at UNSW. 0.6 FTE, 5-year fixed term contract. Reporting to and supporting Professor Jonathan Morris, Pro Vice-Chancellor Research Training and Dean of Graduate Research.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership on Higher Degree Research (HDR).
* Develop and deliver training and development programs for HDR candidates and supervisors.
* Represent the portfolio nationally and internationally and collaborate with senior leaders, industry partners, and partner universities.
* Contribute to HDR policy and governance and deputise for the Pro Vice-Chancellor as required.
Organization
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor Research Training (PVCRT) portfolio provides leadership, support, and central administration for HDR candidates, supervisors and other members of the research community. UNSW has 4,000+ HDR candidates. The goal is to prepare researchers who are globally focused and socially engaged, through priorities including building research capacity, enhancing researcher experience, and developing researcher capability.
