Marketing & Events Coordinator (12-Month Contract)
Location: Cambridge (On-site)
We are working with a globally recognised organisation operating at the forefront of science and innovation. They are seeking a Marketing & Events Coordinator to join their team on a 12-month contract with possibility of extension, supporting the delivery of high-quality events across a regional remit.
This is a hands-on, junior to mid level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in marketing and events within a structured, fast-paced environment. You'll be given real ownership early on — but equally, expectations will be high.
The Role
You will support the planning and execution of both
face-to-face and virtual events
, ensuring consistency in brand delivery and a professional standard across all touchpoints.
This is not just coordination — you'll be expected to
own projects end-to-end
, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver events that actually drive engagement and results.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, manage and deliver regional events, including tradeshows and hosted events
* Coordinate all
pre-event, live, and post-event activities
* Work closely with internal digital teams to align on event assets and campaigns
* Act as a key liaison between marketing, sales, and external partners
* Ensure brand consistency across all materials and communications
* Localise global content for regional audiences in line with guidelines
* Manage external vendors and event logistics from start to finish
* Coordinate speakers, partners, and internal stakeholders
* Track budgets, manage procurement, and oversee invoicing
* Capture, analyse, and report on event performance and lead generation
What They're Looking For
* Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Some exposure to
event coordination or marketing support
(internship or early career experience is fine)
* Strong organisational skills — you can manage multiple moving parts without dropping the ball
* Confident communicator — both written and verbal
* Comfortable working with data, reporting, and systems
* Able to operate in a structured, process-driven environment
* Willingness to travel (approx. 30%)
Why Apply?
* Exposure to a
global, high-performing organisation
* Opportunity to take real ownership early in your career
* Strong platform to move into broader marketing or events roles long-term
* Potential to go permanent.
