Job Overview
Work Placement Assessor - Early Years at College of West Anglia, King's Lynn and Wisbech.
Hours: 37 per week. Salary: £29,267 – £30,644 per annum, including a non‑contractual recruitment and retention allowance of £1,956 per annum, reviewed annually.
Key Responsibilities
 * Observe, assess, grade and record students’ demonstrated competencies during placements in accordance with College policies and awarding bodies’ criteria and timeframes.
 * Work closely with the Early Years work placement coordinator, curriculum staff, students and employers.
 * Assess T‑Level Structured Observations for the Early Years Educator and Assisting Teaching specialisms.
 * Possibility to assess degree students’ Graduate Competencies for the right candidate.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Experience as an Early Years assessor with professional background in primary education.
 * Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with a diverse range of settings across three counties.
 * Ability to manage an autonomous caseload while collaborating with a dedicated team.
 * Commitment to inclusion and adaptability to meet both student and placement partner needs.
 * Enthusiastic, patient, positive and goal‑oriented.
