We are looking for an experienced Deputy Radiology Manager who will be responsible for the operational management of a part of the diagnostic imaging department ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging services and to support the Radiology Manager. You will have the relevant specialist knowledge with previous people management experience, good communication and IT skills, to help us build a healthier nation as a Deputy Radiology Manager at our Brentwood Hospital.
The Radiology department is a growing and busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, CT, Mammography and MRI. You will undertake a wide range of duties in organising the day to day running of a radiology service as well as participating in clinical work. You hold a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and be HCPC registered. With a working knowledge of IRMER, IRR and be able to undertake audits, with a preferred background in CT and MRI. Radiation Protection Supervisor training/qualification would be desirable.

As our Deputy Imaging Manager, you will:
* Provide clinical leadership within a highly specialised area
* You will participate in departmental QA, audit and all aspects of mandatory training as well
* As a clinical lead you will enjoy scoping to develop policies and procedures
* Deputise and support the Radiology Manager
* Supervise and develop other members of staff, including to mentor students and preceptors
* Work in partnership supporting practitioners and other departments around the hospital
* See each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy
* Excellent communication and team working abilities
