This varied role combines general administration with reception and office assistant duties, helping to keep our office running smoothly and providing a warm welcome to visitors and colleagues. You’ll work closely with our York based PA and the wider dispersed administration team, supporting wherever needed and making sure the office is well-maintained, stocked, and ready for the day ahead. with the freedom to challenge ideas, drive change, and take ownership from day one. ​ There will be lots to get involved with in this role, but examples of what you’ll be working on are: General admin tasks. Reception duties, including meeting and greeting visitors. Setting up meeting rooms and arranging parking spaces. Office upkeep – ensuring communal areas are tidy and well-stocked. Restocking facilities and supplies. Assisting the PA with ad-hoc tasks and projects. We’re seeking someone to join us for around 20 to 25 hours per week. We’re flexible on the exact days and times, but ideally the hours will be worked over 5 days per week - Monday to Friday. For example Monday to Friday 10am – 3pm or similar. Please let us know your preferred working pattern when you apply and we will discuss this prior to interview stage. ​ While this role is part-time and focused on providing day-to-day support, you’ll still have opportunities to learn new skills, work closely with different teams, and be part of a friendly, collaborative environment. ​ ​ The Team: ​ Our admin team is led by the administration manager, who you’ll report into, and is made up of circa 17 receptionists, administrators and PA’s who all play a vital role in keeping BHP running smoothly. ​ The Culture: ​ Friendly, supportive, caring, inclusive These are just some of the words that our current colleagues use to describe our culture. The package: ​ The salary and annual leave allowance are pro rata based on the full-time equivalents of: Salary £24,500 - £26,000 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays Discretionary performance related annual bonus Pension contributions of 5.3% when you contribute 3.2% Additional pension benefits if you opt in to our salary sacrifice scheme. Healthcare cash plan Life cover of 3 x salary To thrive in this role, you’ll need: ​ A professional and friendly manner with great communication skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Good basic IT skills, including MS Word, outlook and Excel A proactive, can-do approach to supporting visitors and colleagues Whilst not essential, it would be great if you have: ​ Previous administration, office services or reception experience Experience in an accounting or financial services business We don’t expect you to tick every box.
