Associate/Associate Director – Strategy & Feasibility – Rail, Light Rail, Freight, Local Authorities

Overview
The Strategy & Feasibility team within WSP’s UK Rail group provides systemic and integrated rail solutions across public and private sector clients. Working across light rail, freight and local authorities, you will advise clients on early‑stage railway requirements, develop feed‑forward projects and help secure funding.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic rail advice to external and internal clients.
* Take a central coordinating role on multi‑disciplinary projects.
* Develop and deliver service offerings in light rail, freight or local authorities.
* Plan, manage and deliver tasks and projects, including bidding for new work.
* Engage with clients and build networks within WSP UK and global communities.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in light rail, freight or local authority transport.
* Understanding of legislative and funding processes related to rail operations and scheme development.
* Knowledge across operational planning, strategic planning, business case development and engineering feasibility.
* Strategic thinker with ability to see the big picture and attend to detail.
* Pro‑active, collaborative professional style.
* Business development and bidding skills.
* Strong organisational and stakeholder management, project‑management approach.
* Microsoft Office proficiency.
* Professionally qualified or working towards professional qualifications.
