Valuation Director – London Commercial Valuation Team
My client, a leading nationwide consultancy, is seeking a Valuation Director to join their London Commercial Valuation team. The role covers a broad range of commercial valuation work, with a strong focus on Central London and the South East, delivering advice for loan security, financial reporting and general advisory purposes.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake valuations of high-value commercial assets, including prime Central London properties.
* Produce clear, accurate RICS-compliant valuation reports and sign them off.
* Manage valuation instructions independently while working closely with the wider commercial team.
* Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, lenders, funds, developers, local authorities and public sector clients.
* Build and grow a strong professional network both internally and externally.
* Support and mentor graduate surveyors through their APC.
The Role
* Work alongside fellow Directors to maintain best practice across the team.
* Operate with autonomy while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
* Participate in ongoing CPD and professional development.
* Work with colleagues across the business to identify and develop new opportunities.
* Play an active role in supporting the firm’s wider strategic objectives.
Technical Skills
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
* Experience with valuation software such as Argus Enterprise, Argus Developer and KEL.
Core Skills
* Strong commercial property background.
* Pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
* Excellent organisation and project management skills.
* Strong analytical and data management capability.
* High-quality report writing and communication skills.
* Solid knowledge of the RICS Red Book.
* Collaborative and resilient approach to work.
Background & Qualifications
* Proven track record in preparing RICS Red Book valuations for lending, corporate reporting and advisory purposes.
* Strong commercial valuation experience is essential (residential exposure is welcomed but not required).
* MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer status.
