The post will be based in the Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation Service (Caroline House).

We would welcome applicants who are organised, resourceful and have a passion for supporting and enhancing the work of the Occupational Therapy team and advocating for our patients with complex needs. You will be joining an experienced, supportive and creative team working to meet the physical, cognitive and functional needs of both in-patients with highly complex profiles.

Main duties of the job

* The role includes working with patients and their families, under the direction of qualified therapists.
* The needs of this patient group demand physical and mental resilience, and a need to engage in manual handling activities, personal hygiene care tasks, and to work with people who have challenging behaviours.
* The role includes indirect tasks which support the patient's care and therapy needs, such as administration tasks and management of equipment.
* The role is based in the inpatient but will involve driving.
* Able to cover a 7-day rota to meet the needs of the service.
