Look no further! We are delighted to be seeking a Planning Compliance Officer to join our friendly and forward-thinking team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
This fast-paced and varied role sits within our Planning Services Team, within the Inclusive Growth, Planning and Development service area. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the service in investigating and managing a caseload of alleged breaches of planning control.

We are looking for someone who is motivated and resilient and will be able to work both independently and collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
As you’ll be engaging with the public, Council Members, and external stakeholders, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential - especially in conflict resolution and influencing positive outcomes.
You will bring to the role:
1. Relevant experience in a regulatory, investigative or compliance environment.
2. The ability to manage conflict, influence and negotiate effectively to deliver outcomes.
3. A customer-focused, proactive approach and ability to manage a diverse caseload.
