This is a temporary, ongoing position based mainly in West London, within a large housing association.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide an empathetic and personal housing management service, maintaining regular communication and meetings with residents, ensuring their issues are resolved appropriately.
2. Work independently and as part of a team, including the customer service centre and asset management teams, to support residents in maintaining their tenancies and ensuring their well-being.
3. Follow safeguarding procedures, work with external authorities, and ensure tenancies are managed effectively, including addressing unacceptable behavior constructively.
4. Manage void properties to be ready for letting promptly, following proper lettings procedures and maintaining an effective audit trail.
5. Identify support needs of tenants and coordinate with partners to provide necessary assistance at the start of tenancy.
6. Authorize work orders within budget, coordinate with asset management for repairs, and ensure timely resolution of complex issues.
7. Accurately account for services, set fair service charges, and arrange home visits to understand residents' needs, including ordering repairs and recording necessary information.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Previous experience as a Housing Officer is essential.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
