Health and Safety Manager
HSE Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company in Chesterfield who are looking for a Health and Safety Manager.
This role is a single‑site, stand‑alone position reporting directly to the plant manager. It focuses on challenging behaviours and identifying root causes of performance issues to drive turnaround projects. The successful candidate will receive support from the plant manager and the central group level to implement group strategy at the site level. It is a very hands‑on, shop‑floor‑focused role working closely with the site's management team, acting as the subject‑matter expert on Health and Safety matters to ensure statutory compliance and promote a culture of safety for everyone.
Qualifications & Experience
* NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum (or equivalent)
* Background in heavy manufacturing, engineering or production
* Experience developing and changing the culture and performance of health and safety within a business in an advisory or managerial role
* Self‑motivated, engaging, resilient and persistent
