As Head of Supplier Quality, you will lead a dynamic team of Supplier Quality Engineers and drive the development and execution of a forward-thinking supplier quality strategy aligned with our overall Quality vision.
In this strategic leadership role, youll collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to embed best practices, foster continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with customer requirements from design through to delivery. Your focus will be on preventing defects, reducing variation, and enhancing supplier performance all while supporting new product introductions and ensuring robust, reliable builds.

Management Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Supplier Quality team, setting and delivering a best-in-class Supplier Quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
Drive implementation of Bromptons Supplier Quality systems and procedures to exceed expectations in product quality, cost, and delivery.
Monitor and report Supplier Quality KPIs, ensuring project delivery is on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
Support strategic supplier collaboration through the Supplier Council to build a resilient, innovative supply chain.
Represent Supplier Quality in cross-functional initiatives, including new product introductions and serial production support.
People Management
Build, lead, and manage a high-performing Supplier Quality team focused on continuous improvement and cost reduction.
Provide clear leadership and vision, motivating and mentoring staff to excel and grow professionally.
Set objectives, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance reviews with direct reports.
Ensure effective communication within and between teams to support change implementation and improvements.
Develop the team structure, resourcing plans, and culture needed to meet operational and financial goals.
Coordinate training and coaching to ensure staff are equipped to perform effectively.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and ethical standards.
General & Task Management
Lead supplier audits and validations, including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and PPAP approvals.
Collaborate with Engineering to define process capability requirements and ensure compliance.
Support new product launches and ongoing production by ensuring supplier quality standards are met.
Facilitate root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and escalate unresolved supplier issues.
Analyse supplier quality data to identify trends and drive supply chain improvements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, and other preferred methodologies.
Manage and improve Supplier Defects (SDPPM), cost recovery, and warranty performance.
Perform on-site supplier assessments to verify implementation of corrective actions.
Oversee quality documentation, inspection results, and ensure regulatory and customer compliance.
Deliver supplier quality training and raise awareness internally and externally.
Conduct benchmarking to identify and adopt industry best practices.
Track project performance and budgets, presenting updates and reports to stakeholders.
Stay up to date on supply chain trends and advise the business on potential impacts.

Desired Experience:
Degree preferred, HNC or equivalent experience in similar role
Substantial experience in a volume manufacturing environment,
Experience of working in Quality Assurance
Experience of Supplier Quality Development
Experience in Quality Management in Far East Supply Chain
Knowledge of quality and business systems
Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
Lean Manufacturing knowledge
Knowledge of ISO9001:2015
Understanding ofISO14001:2015/ISO45001:2018
Knowledge of measurement techniques
Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings including GD&T
Understanding of manufacturing processes

Flexible working
9 Day Fortnight This is a flexible working pattern which individuals can opt in for where an employee works their contractual hours across 9 days instead of 10 days. (i.e. 80 hours across 9 days instead of 10 days). This mean the individual would work an additional hour across Monday to Thursday (across the 2 week period) to gain their Friday off.
