We have exciting opportunities for Abattoir Team Leader to join us at our Spalding site!
Shift Pattern: - Monday to Friday, 45 hrs shift pattern.
The role of Abattoir Team Leader forms part of the Abattoir Departmental Management Team of shared responsibility for production and technical / specification performance of the Abattoir team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Allocation of work to employees in the Abattoir Department/inclusive of job rotation
2. Complete necessary line / equipment / process checks and documentation (e.g. production start - up check and material supply issues) to the required standard, and update systems
3. Report and resolve machine issues quickly, advising the Engineering Department of work requirements
4. Ensure product is produced within specification
5. Assist with any audits that are carried out in the department - e.g. customer visits
6. Work closely with the training department to ensure the abattoir is up to date with all training requirements
7. Carry out routine inspection of your area and any equipment in your charge and report any maintenance requirements, deficiencies or recommendations for improvements
8. Carry out audits as required to monitor staff adherence to hygiene policies - e.g. hand washing, PPE and clothing is worn correctly
