About the role
As a Payroll Advisor you will play a vital role in delivering accurate, timely payroll for UK colleagues. Working within a collaborative team, you will focus on hands‑on payroll tasks – from data entry and pay calculations to ensuring compliance and accuracy across every cycle. You will be the go‑to contact for HR colleagues, liaising with third‑party providers, HMRC and our Reward Team to manage salary sacrifice schemes, payrolled benefits and company cars.
Responsibilities
* Process end‑to‑end payroll activities accurately and on schedule.
* Manually calculate statutory and non‑statutory pay elements, including tax, NI and pension contributions.
* Maintain and update payroll data in ResourceLink and Workday.
* Support the payroll shared inbox, responding to queries from People Services and other stakeholders.
* Update and maintain payroll trackers and documentation with accuracy and consistency.
* Assist in monthly reconciliations and payroll reporting.
To Be Successful In The Role
* Previous end‑to‑end payroll experience with strong attention to detail.
* Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
* Confidence in manually calculating payslips and resolving payroll discrepancies.
* Strong numerical and data management skills, with proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
* Excellent time‑management skills and ability to work effectively to tight deadlines.
* A self‑motivated, organised and structured approach to work.
* A willingness to ask for help and learn from more senior team members.
* Experience with ResourceLink or Workday desirable but not essential.
