The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse, ensuring parts are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time.
You will play a key part in maintaining our high service standards by contributing to the efficient handling of stock and collaborating with other departments to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Goods Inward
* Receive, unload, and check deliveries, verifying accuracy against delivery notes.
* Inspect incoming parts for quality, damage, or defects, and report any issues.
* Store items safely and efficiently, following warehouse organization protocols.
Order Processing
* Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for customer delivery.
* Ensure all orders are correctly labelled and packaged to prevent damage.
* Load and unload delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
* Liaise with drivers and the sales team to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
Inventory Management
* Use warehouse management systems (WMS).
* Participate in regular stock checks and cycle counts.
* Identify and report any stock discrepancies, missing items, or damaged goods.
* Ensure all stock locations are clearly labelled and organized.
Health & Safety Compliance
* Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper manual handling techniques.
* Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet trucks or forklifts (if licensed), safely and effectively.
* Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
Collaboration & Communication
* Work closely with the sales and delivery teams to meet customer deadlines.
* Assist with warehouse administration, including processing returns and updating records.
* Contribute to a positive and productive team environment by supporting colleagues when needed.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience
* Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, ideally in the automotive sector.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
* Experience with order picking, packing, and stock control.
Skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
Physical Requirements
* Comfortable with manual handling and able to lift and move parts safely.
* Physically fit for a role that involves standing, walking, and lifting throughout the day.
Licenses & Certifications
* Forklift truck license (desirable but not essential).
* Full UK driving license (desirable for occasional delivery duties).

* 1 in 3 Saturdays: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
