Role Overview

You will support the Compliance Manager and collaborate closely with all departments, taking on a range of responsibilities, including:
Fleet Management – Inspections / Lolers / MOTs / Tachos / Tax
* Plan and forecast the maintenance of assets for Acumen Automotive
* Plan with the workshop scheduled maintenance and ad-hoc maintenance / repairs for vehicles maintained inhouse
* Update planner as trucks change
* Monitor servicing – ensuring regular servicing
* Communicate any bookings with the traffic team and the driver(s)
* Check all vehicles/trailers have arrived as planned
* Check paperwork
Defect Log
* Update the defect log with any defect reported either via drivers walk round or any outstanding defects on inspection
* Update spreadsheet with any repairs carried out with repair agent name, date and completed works
Invoicing
* Review invoices for all Acumen Automotive vehicles
* Issue PO numbers to third party maintenance
* Negotiate on pricing
* Review ad hoc suppliers' costs
* Look for new suppliers – competitive pricing and turn around on repairs / work carried out.
Gate Checks
* Assist in completing gate checks
Tyre Log / Maintenance
* Monitoring all tyre tread depths / wear and replacements including suitable retorques in line with Acumen policy.
* Chase up any outstanding work required
* Update and review fleet checks
Damage Log
* Monitoring all damage to vehicles from maintenance providers, or RTCs – review and book with body shop for repairs.
Requirements
* Experience in Fleet/Transport Management is essential preferably experience with Car Transporters
* 'Technical / mechanical knowledge advantageous'
* You must have the Transport Manager CPC
* Success in this role requires excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* You should be a confident communicator, able to engage with colleagues at every level—from drivers to directors—and with external partners.
* Resilience, attention to detail, a proactive approach is a must
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
