Secondary Cover Supervisor – Cardiff

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Cardiff. This role involves delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff, including PPA cover. We’re looking for individuals who are confident managing groups of students and have experience in educational settings or similar fields such as coaching or youth leadership.
If you have subject-specific knowledge—particularly in areas such as Maths or PE—we’d love to hear from you, as schools often request cover based on specialisms. We also welcome applications from Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) or Teaching Assistants ready to take the next step. Full training is available, including modules in Behaviour Management to help you feel confident in the classroom.

* A passion for supporting young people in their learning
* Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments
* Experience in education, coaching, tutoring, or similar roles
* Comfortable delivering lessons across various subjects using prepared materials
* Willingness to work on short notice
* Strong classroom management skills in line with school policies
Essential Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can assist with applications)
* Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* Completed safeguarding training (provided by Teaching Personnel)
* Able to provide references covering the last 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
