Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year Job description: Key Responsibilities: Pre-season planning · Prepare detailed analysis at department level for previous season performance, in line with buying timeline · Work with buyer to drive strategy for following season, preparing WSSI proposal with key building blocks to support this · Ensure that key sales trends are highlighted to the buying team, along with option plans, in order to deliver a balanced, commercial range · Ensure that all repeat/core lines for stores & web are identified, taking ownership of final buy qtys in line with company directives and ensuring that key programmes are booked together across all departments/brands in order to maximise margin · Sign off on all orders raised by buying, ensuring they remain in line with departmental ASP/margin plans, escalating any of concern to Head of Merchandising · Work with buying to establish pricing strategy for each department, ensuring this is in line with company strategy, and ensuring this is implemented across all channels & mirrored within the sub brands · Ensure that all new options are booked in line with the buying timeline, whilst monitoring option plans/OTB WSSI/Trading · In conjunction with Head of Merchandising, plan departmental WSSI by season for all channels · Ongoing review of performance vs WSSI at departmental, seasonal & store/web level, taking actions to achieve sales & margin plans where possible · Ensure that all KPIs are shared with buying counterparts weekly, with any risk to sales communicated to Head of Merchandising · Creation & management of lower level WSSI reporting where relevant, reporting roll up performance to Head of Merchandising & highlighting any risk to sales in a timely manner · Monitor in season OTB available, ensuring that all mid-short lead time options are filled in line with the departmental plan · Maintain awareness of status of all outstanding commitment, agreeing to delivery changes, cost price reductions, etc · In season analysis of current season, tracking performance of building blocks vs LY & plan across all channels Markdowns/promo · Review/discussion of markdown/promotions for all seasons/depts/channels · Action ongoing “clear as you go” markdowns in line with company strategy · Liaise with web team to agree planned promos & focus lines for emails Misc · Deputise for Head of Merchandising where required · Preparation of any ad hoc analysis as required by senior management Personal requirements · To collaborate and consult with all departments · Manage direct reports, working within company policy · Motivate, coach and develop through regular feedback Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: * Company pension * Free parking * On-site parking Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday
