The Role
The role of the TCS Technician is to be competent in tunnel and terminal systems and their procedures, which are essential in supporting Eurotunnel’s cross-channel service. The TCS Technician is the first line response on a 24-hour basis, delivering optimum services to various areas on-site.
Principal Accountabilities, Qualifications, and Experience
1. Carry out planned maintenance of equipment in accordance with approved maintenance instructions and schedules to achieve maximum availability.
2. Perform corrective maintenance of equipment in accordance with approved diagnostic procedures and instructions to ensure the equipment is returned to service in a timely manner.
3. Understand and participate in the preparation of equipment for service, including inspection and testing, to meet customer needs.
4. Record and reports equipment performance against agreed instructions and schedules.
5. Become qualified in the use of all relevant telecommunications.
6. Previous work experience in telecommunication or an electronics role is essential.
7. You must have a HNC / HND / NVQ or equivalent in telecommunications/electronics, together with a minimum of two years’ work experience.
8. A BTEC / C&G qualification or equivalent, in a technical discipline may be considered with a minimum of five years relevant work experience.
9. A full Driving Licence and Passport is essential.
